Examination guideline for Doctoral course at the Graduate School of Advanced Mathematical Sciences
The Graduate School of Advanced Mathematical Sciences will start from April 2011 as a Doctoral level research institution for Meiji University Global COE Program [Formation and Development of Mathematical Sciences Based on Modeling and Analysis]. Therefore, MIMS Ph.D. program which has been developed as an educational program under Global COE will be consecutively conducted at the Doctoral course of the Graduate School of Advanced Mathematical Sciences. Furthermore, the MIMS Ph.D. program admission examination will take place at the Graduate School of Advanced Mathematical Sciences from the enrollment of academic year 2011.

| Qualification for application | <Japanese students> ①Those who have obtained a Master’s Degree or will be awarded the Degree by 31st March 2011. ②Those who have completed a course/courses at professional graduate schools and have obtained Degrees which are prescribed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology(hereafter referred to as “MEXT”) or will be awarded the Degree by 31st March 2011. ③Those who have obtained a Master’s Degree from foreign universities or will be awarded the Degree by 31st March 2011. ④Those who have obtained a Masters’ Degree (or equivalent) through a correspondence course given by foreign institutes while residing in Japan or will be awarded by 31st March 2011. ⑤Those who are designated by the MEXT. ⑥Those who have been approved through the Graduate School’s individual qualification screening procedure as one whose academic credentials are equivalent to/superior to those who have obtained a Masters’ Degree. Such applicants must be over age of 24 by 31st March 2011. <International Students> Applicants who do not have a Japanese nationality and are applicable to one of the following categories: ①Those who have completed their primary and secondary education abroad, have graduated from universities with a Bachelors’ Degree (or equivalent), and have also obtained a Masters’ Degree or will be awarded the Degree by 31st March 2011. ②Those who have completed their primary and secondary education abroad, have graduated from universities with a Bachelors’ Degree, and have also obtained a Masters’ Degree or will be awarded the Degree by 31st March 2011 as a International student of a Graduate School in Japan. ③Those who have completed a correspondence course given by institutions abroad while residing in Japan and have obtained a Masters’ Degree or will be awarded the Degree by 31st March 2011. ④Those who are designated by the MEXT. ⑤Those who have been approved through this Graduate School’s individual qualification screening procedure as one whose academic credentials are equivalent to or superior to those who have a Masters’ Degree.
