先端数理科学研究科ネットワークデザイン専攻の博士前期課程2年 佐藤繭子さんがSCIS&ISIS2018（Joint 10th International Conference on Soft Computing and Intelligent Systems and 19th International Symposium on Advanced Intelligent Systems in conjunction with Intelligent Systems Workshop 2018）においてBest Student Presentation Awardを受賞しました。
SCIS&ISISは，進化計算，ファジィ，ニューラルネットワークなどのComputational Intelligenceに関する研究を発表する国際会議として毎年開催されています。
毎年，学生が発表する論文の中から， Best Student Presentation Awardを決定しています。

論文内容： スマートシティ(以下，SC)全体のエネルギーコスト・CO2排出量の最小化およびピークシフトを進化計算手法を用いて実現する研究を世界で初めて行っている。この研究において，Multi-population Global-Best Modified Brain Storm Optimizationという独自の進化計算手法を提案し，これを用いてSC全体の最適化を提案した。富山市を対象とした例で，従来法より，エネルギーコスト，CO2排出量を大幅に削減できることを確認した。
