On January 17, the Meiji Institute for Global Affairs held a symposium titled "Issues in Security, Economic Development, and Human Rights in Asia" jointly with the International University of Japan Research Institute at the Global Front on the Surugadai Campus. The symposium drew about 40 Meiji University students and members of the general public for in-depth discussion of the issues from various perspectives, including history, diplomacy, and economics.
