Informal agreement to sign with J.League teams reached by five members of Meiji University Athletic Association’s Soccer Club

On November 19, the Meiji University Athletic Association’s Soccer Club held a press conference for five athletes who have reached informal agreements to sign with football clubs in the professional J.League at the Shikon Kan Alumni Memorial Building on the Surugadai Campus.

At the start of the press conference, Daisuke Kurita, the Meiji University soccer club’s head coach, outlined the activities of the club this season before profiling each of the players and describing their talents. Next, each player said a few words about his current state of mind and his aspirations after turning professional, one after the other.

The following is a list of the players and the clubs which each is to join.

Ryuji Izumi (fourth-year student in the School of Political Science and Economics) : Nagoya Grampus
Ryo Takahashi (fourth-year student in the School of Arts and Letters) : Nagoya Grampus
Yuto Sashinami (fourth-year student in the School of Commerce) : Vegalta Sendai
Kohei Yamakoshi (fourth-year student in the School of Law) : Omiya Ardija
Yoshiki Fujimoto (fourth-year student in the School of Arts and Letters) : Fagiano Okayama
