From June 20 to July 10, the School of Information and Communication implemented its short-term exchange program with students from countries that are members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). For the program this year, it accepted five students each from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and Srinakharinwirot University in the Kingdom of Thailand, and two from the National University of Laos, for a total of 12. The program was prepared with a view to enabling the students to obtain firsthand experience of Japan. Besides special lectures on the Japanese language and culture, there was a class titled “The ASEAN and Japan” as well as tours of Japanese companies, namely, Japan Airlines and Fujitsu.
