Four members of the Meiji University baseball club selected at the Nippon Professional Baseball Draft Meeting

The Nippon Professional Baseball Draft Meeting was held in Tokyo on October 20. The Meeting saw the selection of four members of the Meiji University baseball club, specifically, pitcher and club captain Yuuya Yanagi (a fourth-year student in the School of Political Science and Economics) as the first-round pick by the Chunichi Dragons, pitcher Tomoya Hoshi (a fourth-year student in the School of Political Science and Economics) as the second-round pick by the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, Keita Sano (a fourth-year student of the School of Commerce) as the ninth-round pick of the Yokohama DeNA Baystars, and catcher Katsushi Nakamichi (a fourth-year student in the School of Commerce) as the fifth-round pick of the Orix Buffaloes in the development player draft.
