To the victims of the Kumamoto earthquakes:
Today marks the second anniversary of the Kumamoto earthquakes. I take this opportunity to express our deepest sympathy once again for those who have suffered loss and damage.
While there is good news, such as the repair of the tower roof of Kumamoto Castle, there are still many people who are forced to live restricted lives, even today.
At Meiji University, the school flag is being lowered to half-mast to express our sincere condolences and to pray for a speedy recovery in the affected areas.
