Skating Club wins the overall intercollegiate championship for third consecutive season

Meiji University Skating Club participated in the 91st Japan Collegiate Skating and Ice Hockey Championship (December 24-29 and January 4-7; Hakucho Oji Ice Arena, Tomakomai, Nikko Kirifuri Skate Center, etc.) and won its 57th all-time, and third consecutive overall championship in the men’s intercollegiate competition, with championships in the Ice Hockey Section and the Figure Skating Section, as well as 4th place in the Speed Skating Section.

In the Ice Hockey Section, Meiji University defeated Toyo University in the playoff on December 29 at Hakucho Oji Ice Arena, Tomakomai, winnings its third consecutive collegiate title in Japan.

In the Figure Skating Section, Yoji Nakano (junior in the School of Business Administration) placed 4th and Hidetsugu Kamata (senior in the School of Business Administration) placed 5th in the 7th/8th class to contribute to the team’s 1st place finish.
