On November 17, the Graduate School of Advanced Mathematical Sciences held an integrated mathematical sciences seminar at the Nakano Campus for 25 first- and second-year students (and seven teachers) from six high schools in Chiba Prefecture, in response to a request from the Chiba Science School Network, which aims to improve mathematics education throughout the prefecture.

The Graduate School of Advanced Mathematical Sciences began both its Masters Degree and PhD programs at the same time in April 2011. It relocated from the Ikuta Campus when the Nakano Campus opened in April 2013. It is making progress as a pioneer in building a global research base through bringing together advanced research.
