My Experiences as an international student

I

t seems like only a few days ago when, two years earlier, I received a letter from Meiji University stating that I had passed their entry examination. I excitedly contacted my parents, friends and teachers to tell them the news. And now, already I'm a 3rd year student - time passes quickly, doesn't it? Before entering university, I had an impression of Meiji University being energetic, and, after actually entering, found it to be really true. There are times when we play noisily, but we also study seriously, which I think is the appeal of Meiji University. I'm enjoying my life as a university student, so even now I'm glad I chose Meiji University.

After I entered university, I made a big effort to join in lots of activities, so I enjoyed my student life even more. I like meeting people, so was able to talk with Korean, Japanese, and foreigners from other countries. From this, I feel that I discovered new things about myself and broadened my horizons. In terms of the merit of studying abroad, one can expect not only to improve one's language abilities, but I think that being apart from your parents and having to do things by yourself and develop your own independence is a big merit.

At university, the difference with my previous student life is that I can choose classes completely by myself. Also, if you don't study, your parents are back in your home country, so there is nobody to push you. If you don't start it by yourself, it's not going to start, so I think that before studying abroad, you must become a disciplined student. Let's work hard together at Meiji University.
