The School of Business Administration started the Dual Degree Program with the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria (Canada) in the 2015 academic year. It has been decided to send Shusuke Takamizawa (a third-year student in the School of Business Administration) as the first participant, beginning in the 2017 fall semester.

Under this program, participants study for 2.5 years in the School of Business Administration, Meiji University and then 2.5 years in the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria. After completing a total of 5 years of study, they are awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Japan and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Canada.

The University of Victoria is a state university located in Victoria, the capital of the province of British Columbia, Canada. It is renowned as one of the top universities in the country. To participate in the Dual Degree Program, candidates must pass the same strict admission screenings as usual students. Mr. Takamizawa passed with flying colors and will be studying in Canada beginning in this fall semester. In Canada, Mr. Takamizawa will be pursuing studies in specialized areas of business administration for the next two and a half years. During this period, he will also participate in a paid internship program for about one year, where he will be able to gain practical experience.
