The School of Information and Communication held an active learning and media literacy course planned jointly with Fuji Television Network, Inc. (Fuji TV). The course was held as part of the “International Exchange (Media)” curriculum and attracted the participation of 18 students (17 from the School of Information and Communication and 1 from the School of Political Science and Economics).
The course spanned a total of 16 days, and consisted of prior- and post-learning, filming on location in northern New Zealand (Auckland), and filming in the studio in Japan. With guidance from a professional program director, the students produced programs patterned after “Kokoshira,” one of the segments in “Mezamashi TV,” a morning information program aired by Fuji TV.

The video below shows the programs completed by the groups through the “International Exchange (New Zealand)” class. Please take a look.
