Lithic studies on the Plalaeolithic and Jomon age.
Landscape archaeology.
Correlation between the circulation and typological changes of lithic raw materials, such as obsidian and siliceous hardshale.
Researches into the correlation between the ways of hunting and human migration.

President of the Archaeological Society of Nagano Prefecture.
