グローバル経営人材の育成をめざす経営学部では、英語4技能の1つである「書く」英語力の向上を目的として、2015年度から「英語ライティングコンテスト」※ を開始しました。
（※2017年度から、英語エッセイコンテストから英語ライティングコンテストへ名称を変更いたしました。）
本コンテストは、テーマについて記述した800語程度の英語エッセイの中で、構想力、論理展開、リサーチスキル、十分かつ簡潔な英語表現力を競います。
今年度の英語ライティングのテーマは以下の通りです。
【As is often pointed out, Japan has a shrinking population. One estimate by The National Institute of Population and Social Security Research (2012) is that the current population of 127 million will decline by a third by 2060. This drop in population has various social and economic effects, including higher tax burdens on workers and slower economic growth. One suggestion has been that Japan should accept more immigrants to help solve the problem.
