Cool Japan Summer Program 2014

Sep. 01, 2014

From July 23 to August 7, the Organization for International Collaboration hosted the Cool Japan Summer Program (Lecturer: Manabu Kitawaki), a summer exchange program for overseas undergraduates and postgraduates through which they learn about a broad range of “modern Japanese culture”, including manga, animation, computer games and music, and the “traditional culture” from which it has arisen, in addition to picking up “cultural management” skills to utilize this knowledge.
The program began in 2010 as part of our efforts to attract international students from overseas to “learn about Japan at Meiji”. This year 22 students took part in the program from more than ten countries worldwide.
