The FY2014 international workshop—a courtesy call on the MU President by young researchers from other countries

As part of its fiscal 2014 plans for projects of joint international research, the Center for Obsidian and Lithic Studies (located in the town of Nagawa, Nagano Prefecture; Director: Dr. Akira Ono, Specially Appointed Professor, Organization for the Strategic Coordination of Research and Intellectual Property) held a workshop over the period September 18–29. It invited ten young researchers in the field of obsidian from nine countries around the world to take part in the workshop.
