Admission is free.

Japanese universities, which were established along with the start of the modern era in Japan, are said to be in an era of great change. This exhibition, entitled "Student Life Before, During, and After World War II," shines the spotlight on three periods in Japanese history: the period of higher education expansion following World War I, the period during World War II, and the period of high economic growth following the postwar reforms. Roughly 300 items including notebooks and textbooks that students used at the time as well as photographs of club activities or classes in session will be on display. By observing the items, visitors will be able to examine how students lived their lives in each era, as well as consider the state of students and universities today.
