On October 3, “Pembroke Players”, a theatrical society run by the students of University of Cambridge in the UK, performed a Shakespeare’s comedy, the “Two Gentlemen of Verona”, at the Global Hall of the Global Front.

This is the sixth year that Pembroke Players visited Meiji University for performance. The International Collaboration Division has been conducting “UK Research” as a regional study and invited the drama society as part of the research since 2007.

Workshop Held on the Same Day
Prior to the performance, a one and half hour workshop was held at the multi-purpose room of the Global Front in the afternoon of the same day. Five members from Pembroke Players and 13 students from Meiji University participated in the workshop, where a lesson on authentic play through the practice of a variety of theatrical training techniques as well as exchange between the students took place.
