The Disarmament Peace Research Institute held an international symposium on the “21st Century for North Africa and Japan - The Peaceful Convivial Society Built by International Cultural Exchanges” co-sponsored with the Japan Foundation (an international exchange fund) on November 20 at Surugadai Campus Liberty Hall. 200 people, business people, researchers, and students, came together.
The experts from both sides, North Africa, including the Arab countries, and Japan, discussed the role of the cultural exchange and civilian exchange, for the purpose of creating a multifaceted mutual understanding and empathy between the two sides.
