[Important] Changes have been made to the handling of AY2021 Graduate School of Science and Technology Entrance Exam Period Ⅱ application documents which require academic supervisor’s signature/seal.

Many universities/institutions have closed campuses/facilities due to the outbreak of COVID-19. In response to the situation, changes have been made, as stated below, to the handling of some application documents which require academic supervisor’s signature/seal.

 

 [Master’s Degree Program, International Program in Architecture and Urban Design] Certificate of Portfolio of Works (See Application Guideline page20)

 

Before the changes

Write all necessary information in the thick-framed box of the Certificate of Portfolio of Works [For Pasting] and have it certified (signed and sealed) by the teacher in charge that they are your own works. If you cannot obtain certification by your teacher in charge, please have it certified by another recommender or a third person other than your family members or relatives who can properly evaluate your works (a teacher of another university, company personnel in the field of architecture/art, etc.). Submit this Certificate by pasting it on the last page of your Portfolio of Works

 

After the changes

-Send electronic or scanned data of your portfolio of works to the teacher in charge via email etc. After the teacher checks and confirms the contents, you need to write the teacher’s name on Certificate of Portfolio.

-Submit a copy of email sent from the teacher as a proof of his/her confirmation along with other application materials. 

 

*If you have already prepared Certificate of Portfolio before the changes, you do not need to obtain a confirmation from the teacher again.

 

 

[Doctoral Degree Program] Handling of a seal of approval of your desired academic supervisor on the Application Form for Admission.  (See Application Guideline page17)

 

Before the changes

Applicants for a Doctoral Degree Program shall receive a seal of approval of their academic supervisor on the Application Form for Admission.

 

After the changes

-A seal of approval of your academic supervisor on the Application Form for Admission is NOT required.

-Applicants need to contact the academic supervisor via email etc., and obtain his/her approval.

-Submit a copy of email sent from the supervisor as a proof of approval along with other application materials. 

 

*If you have already obtained a seal of approval on the Application Form for Admission, you can disregard new instructions after the changes.
