Issuing Certificates (Current Students)
Operation During the Entry Restriction
Current students can request certificates and transcripts by mail, or they can issue them through the automated certificate-issuing machines located at each campus.

Certificates are available through the automated certificate-issuing machines at each campus.

※If a certificate has to be enclosed in an official envelope, please bring the certificate to counter no.1 at the Nakano Campus Office.

Issuing Certificates (Graduates)
Operation During the Entry Restriction
Due to COVID-19, Meiji University restricts entry to the campuses. Graduates can request certificates and transcripts by mail. Please note that we do not accept requests in person during the entry restriction.

【Important】About Ordering Certificates and Transcripts
Regular Operation
※ Applications cannot be made by telephone, email or fax.
★Application in person at Nakano Campus Office:
1) Application form for Certificates (A4 size. Written in Japanese only. Please refer to the English sample)
★Application on behalf
If another person is making the application on behalf, the following documents are also required in addition to the items above.
1. Authorization Letter from the applicant
2. Photocopy of the applicant's ID with photo
3. Photocopy of ID with photo of the person making the application on behalf of applicant
In the Authorization Letter, please make sure to include the following items a) - d):
a) The name, home address, contact information (telephone number, etc.) of the person who is applying on behalf of the applicant.
b) Specify the items to be accessible by the person applying on behalf. (All authority for applying and receiving the certificate)
c) The date the authorization letter was created.
d) The applicant's name (handwritten by the applicant), seal, current address, date of birth, graduation date, department enrolled, and contact information (telephone number, etc.)
There is no required format, but you can use this form.

Please send the 4 following items to Nakano Campus Office.
※ If the certificate needs to be enclosed in an officially sealed envelope, please indicate this on the application form.
※ The certificate will be sent within 3 or 4 days after the application has been received at the Nakano Campus Office.
