OUTLINE of the MIND INTERNET ORIENTATION
(1) What does this orientation session enable you to do?
This orientation session enables you:
- to visit websites outside Meiji University from the computers on campus (in Information Science classrooms, Information Processing classrooms, the Multimedia Area in the Central Library, the Vocational Guidance and Career-Building Support Office, etc.).
- to apply for a MIND Mobile Account, which is required if you want to log on to MIND from your computer at home through the network, or to use on-campus Mobile Information Outlets.
- to learn more about the Internet: how it works, its history, tips for its comfortable use, rules of etiquette on the Web, etc.
- to learn how to access the Internet from the computers in the Technology for the Enhancement of Learning, libraries, the Vocational Guidance and Career-Building Support Office, etc.
- to learn mobile computing using notebook computers, etc.
When you enter the room, please take a seat towards the front and sit close together. If you receive your Internet Orientation Certificate during the session, please fill in the required items. (Orientation Certificates may be distributed during the session.)

Make sure that you have all the necessary materials before the session begins.

The following materials can be downloaded from the MIND website.
Fill in your name, the date and your student ID number on the certificate form and detach along the perforated line. The bottom section will be collected later. The top section is proof of your attendance and should be kept with you until graduation.
If you don't know your student ID number, fill in your scholastic year, class and student number in the margin.
* Internet Orientation Certificates may be distributed during the session.

The session takes about 70 minutes.
