Windows Updateの実施について（お願い）

　昨年夏の Blasterワーム以降も、WindowsOSには深刻なセキュリティ上の欠陥が発見されています。
　Windowsパソコンの利用者は、これらの欠陥を修正するための作業 (Windows Update といいます)を、定期的に実施し、ネットワークの正常な運用にご協力ください。
　Windows Updateの実施方法がわからない場合は、各地区サポートデスク/サポートサービスにご相談ください。

　毎月、マイクロソフト社はセキュリティ情報を公開しています。
　これまでもWindowsOSのセキュリティ的欠陥が発見されるたびに、その欠陥を利用したウィルスが何者かによって作成されています。そして、新しいウィルスが作成されるたびに、修正プログラムを適用していないWindowsパソコンがウィルス感染の被害にあっています。
　このようなウィルスの感染を防止するためには、まずは、WindowsOSのセキュリティ欠陥を修正する作業を、定期的に行うことが肝要です。

Windowsパソコンを利用している方は、
定期的に、WindowsUpdateを実施するようお願いします。

　もちろん

ノートパソコンを大学に持ち込み、ネットワークに接続している方、
自宅から大学へダイアルアップ（PPP）接続や、VPN接続を行っている方

も、忘れずに実行してください。

　新たなウィルスの発生源と認定された場合は、正常な状態に回復したことが確認されるまで一時的にネットワーク接続を停止する、モバイルアカウントを停止する等の処置を取らせていただく可能性もあります。
