Short-term Student Exchange Program at School of Information and Communication
Thailand and Laos
Short-term student exchange program with KING MONGKUT'S INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY LADKRABANG, SRINAKHARINWIROT UNIVERSITY,and NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF LAOS
Our department has programs with three universities in Thailand and Laos, to deepen exchanges.
Outbound Program
The goal of this program is to enable students of Information and Communication to interact with peers from different social and cultural backgrounds, to deepen their awareness of their own culture, and to learn to respect different cultures. Furthermore, the program aims to develop a positive attitude toward working abroad, especially in Asia.
Students will learn about Thai culture for a few days before their return. They participate in comparative culture workshops and classes at Srinkharinwirot Universiry, visit the Japanese companies in Thailand, and visit Japanese Embassy in Thailand, the ruins of Ayutthaya and the Royal Palace.
Every year, the students, despite their different nationalities, fulfill the objectives of the exchange program by discussing each other's culture, which they cannot understand only through their studies. This is a program that allows students to see Thai culture and society with their own eyes in a short period of time.
Incoming Program
This program was attended by students from Srinkharinwirot Universiry, King Mongkut's Rakaban University of Technology, and National University of Laos, with our department students participating in the "Outbound Program" providing practical assistance.
The students who came to Japan deepened their understanding of Japanese language and culture by attending lectures at the Faculty, participating in a training camp, and visiting companies.
