Meiji University was selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as one of thirteen universities to participate in the Global 30 Project to establish centers for the globalization of Japanese universities. As an essential hub of the Global 30 initiative at Meiji University, GSBA has embarked on several programs to raise the international profile and prestige of both the School and University alike.
At the heart of these activities lie the ambitious Double Degree Programs run in conjunction with the Razak School of Engineering and Advanced Technology at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia, and the SolBridge International School of Business at Woosong University in Daejeon, South Korea. Successful students upon these programs will be awarded two master’s degrees through participating on an exchange program to Malaysia or South Korea and satisfying the respective credit requirements of GSBA and the partner institution. On these Double Degree Programs, students will be required to take lectures taught in English in order to complete the course.
GSBA is also actively increasing the number of its exchange partners globally in addition to the agreements already established across Asia, Oceania and North America. As such there is a large selection of possible exchange locations. As a continuation of the 50th anniversary international symposium held in 2009, GSBA has also organized conferences, symposia and workshops on a regular basis in collaboration with a variety of universities from around the world, including Cardiff University and Lancaster University in the UK, and Massey University in New Zealand. These events have helped to further increase GSBA students’ exposure to international business research, while continuing to raise the international profile of the School.
