I studied at U-vic as an exchange student from September to December. Students had so much homework, and I studied very hard collaborating with my friends and getting advice from my host family. There were 133 students from 23 different countries in the course and through talking with my classmates I was able to gain insight into their various cultural backgrounds. I am not able to have these experiences in my home country of Japan. It was a very rich and exciting period.

It was a valuable experience for me to do a study exchange at the University of Victoria in Canada, where I learned in a different academic environment from Japanese Universities, formed friendships with several foreign students and took short trips to many beautiful spots in Canada. Also, I stayed with a very kind local family, so I was able to brush up on my English fluency and come to know more about Canadian family life. My host family so warmly supported me very kindly and, as a result, I was able to enjoy my study experience in Canada.
