Notice about coronavirus

Dear Students and Faculty,

Following the outbreak of the novel respiratory coronavirus which was first detected in Wuhan city, Hubei province, China, the Japanese government has been releasing alerts to Japanese residents. Please keep yourself properly informed with the latest information.

1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a warning to avoid non-essential travel to Hubei province. Although it is still possible to go to other regions in China, we recommend you to avoid non-essential travel to all of the country.

If traveling to other overseas areas, please refer to the Overseas Safety risk map by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Japanese only, link below).

2. If you have traveled to Wuhan city, please pay close attention to your health conditions. If you have symptoms like a cough or fever, please promptly make an appointment to be examined by a doctor at a Health Center or medical institution. Please do not forget to wear a mask.

3. Please let us remind you to follow precautions such as handwashing, gargling, a well-balanced diet, and adequate sleep.
