[School of Agriculture] AKIYAMA Shoki won the 2023 JSAS Excellent Student Award

AKIYAMA Shoki, a 4th-year student at the laboratory of Animal Production Science (Associate Professor SASAKI Yosuke), the Department of Agriculture, won the 2023 Japanese Society of Animal Science (JSAS) Excellent Student Award.

This award is given to undergraduate students with outstanding achievement who are planning to study at graduate school, and who have the potential to go on to a doctoral course and contribute to JSAS academic meetings as well as the development of animal science and related industries as a researcher.

AKIYAMA actively approached problems in the field of animal science for his graduation research and presented his research results at the 131th Annual Meeting of JSAS (September 18-21, 2023, at Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine) under the title “Survey on the situation of pig feed grains industry in China over the last 10 years and its relationship with pig feed prices in Japan.”
