ISHIBE Koshi, a 2nd-year pre-doctoral student in the Electrical Engineering Program at the Graduate School of Science and Technology, (Power System Laboratory of Associate Professor KAWASAKI Shoji), received an Encouragement Award at the 2023 IEEJ (the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan) Joint Research Workshop on Power Technology and Power System Technology (September 25-26, Kumamoto University).

Title: Research on short-term ensemble insolation forecasting using parallelized NE
Authors: ISHIBE Koshi, KAWASAKI Shoji

This thesis proposes the insolation forecasting method to estimate photovoltaic power generation output and the parallelization method using GPU, measures the accuracy of insolation forecasting and execution time by numerical calculation, and verifies the usefulness of the proposed method by comparing with other references and other methods.
