The Master’s Degree Program at the Graduate School of Commerce aims to foster innovative and creative human resources who can independently act as researchers or advanced professionals in these fields or in interdisciplinary research fields based on these fields, by providing eight research courses that consist of economics, commerce, business administration, accounting, finance and securities, insurance, transportation and international trade, and by providing small-group instructions. Therefore, the following types of students are welcomed:
(1)those who can acquire the knowledge and ability necessary to perform research activities in the field of commercial science and spare no effort for that, and at the same time, those who have a sense of value by which research useful for society can be conducted in a just manner; and
(2)those who can acquire sufficient knowledge and ability to fulfill their duties as a professional with a high level of expertise in commercial science and spare no effort for that, and at the same time, those who have a passion to contribute to the development of society through their work.
With the above ideals of desirable students in mind, we administer internal entrance examinations, general entrance examinations, entrance examinations for international students, entrance examinations for early graduating third-year students and entrance examinations for the senior generation, and make selections of graduate students.
Descriptions and levels of knowledge or other qualities required are as follows:
(1)basic knowledge in the field of commercial science;
(2)definite problem consciousness and objectives in the context of conducting research; and
(3)ability to act in a planned way and ability to resolve problems necessary for self-reliant research activities.
