In FY2023, FUJIMOTO Seminar (Food Economics), in collaboration with Taneko Garlic Farm (Takko Town, Aomori Prefecture), started a project to develop, market, and promote frozen dishes made with garlic.

Takko Town, one of Japan's leading producers of branded garlic, has been certified as “the most beautiful village in Japan.” Owing to the professor's role as a judge for the contest of “the most beautiful village in Japan,” various connections have been established, such as visiting the village during seminar retreats and assisting in garlic sales at Marche in Roppongi. We were approached by Taneko Garlic Farm and participated in a project to commercialize and promote the frozen dishes.

The product is named Ail Taneko, with “Ail” meaning “garlic” in French. It was named Ail Taneko to offer frozen French dishes, allowing households to enjoy authentic French cuisine. Of course, the products use aromatic garlic from Taneko Garlic Farm.

The students devised the entire project, from the structure to the content and brand design, mainly for the production of Ail Taneko's pamphlet and tags to be attached to the products. They have been progressing through meetings with Taneko Garlic Farm. We aim to attract new customers by offering perspectives and ideas unique to students.

Pamphlet and product tags created with a design evoking French aesthetics, while also ensuring the structure and content that is familiar to those who pick up.
