With assistance from Japan and others, UNRWA provides support to Palestine refugees with focus on the fields of high-quality maternal and child healthcare and food aid and has engaged in the reconstruction of the Neirab camp in Syria and Nahr al-Bared camp in Lebanon. Japan has been conducting ongoing projects for peace and stability in the Middle East, including humanitarian assistance to Palestine refugees, for many years. At the Symposium, discussions centering on the current situation of Palestine refugees and UNRWA support were carried out concerning peace in the Middle East and Japan’s role.
