Izumi

Izumi

The Izumi Campus is located near Meidaimae Station (the only train station named after the university) where the Keio Line and Inokashira Line cross each other. While conveniently located within easy reach, just 10 minutes away from major city areas, the campus is surrounded by lush green and flowers in every season.

In 2008, the Graduate School of Educational Design and the School of Global Japanese Studies were established and currently 11,000 freshmen and sophomores (1-4th year for the School of Global Japanese Studies) from the seven academic faculties attend class here. A 7- period system allows students to flexibly select courses, which are offered until 9:10 in the evening.

The Izumi Media Building, in use since April 2005, is equipped with the newest information technology facilities, and plans to build a new library are underway. The new building will become the focal point for general education as the campus continues to evolve into its new form.
