*Born in 1934, Mr. Meron Benvenisti is a political scientist from Israel who opposes Israel’s expansionist policies. He was Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem throughout the 1970s. He is the founder of the West Bank Data Project and the author of many books, including Jerusalem, the Torn City (1976), City of Stone (1996) and Sacred Landscape (2002).
