A mission led by Mr. Jean-François Lisée, Minister of International Relations, La Francophonie and External Trade, and Ms. Claire Deronzier, Delegate General of the Quebec Government Office in Tokyo, visited the Surugadai Campus on January 22.  There, they engaged in informal discussion with Dr. Kazuto Iida, Executive Trustee; Dr. Akira Ito, Vice President of Meiji University (in charge of overall policy); and Kosaku Dairokuno, Dean of the School of Political Science and Economics.
This courtesy visit was made to express appreciation for the efforts of the School in promoting understanding of Quebec by steps such as the institution and operation of the Quebec Collection and offer of a course on Quebec.

* Quebec Collection: Established in Meiji University in 2005, the Quebec Collection contains documents on the Canadian province of Quebec. The Collection covers all books on Quebec, regardless of the country of publication and field.   It now contains over 2,000 titles.
