On February 21, Hiroki Shibasaki (Graduate School of Science and Technology, D1), Shunsuke Watanabe (Graduate School of Science and Technology, M1) and Satoshi Nomoto (Graduate School of Science and Technology, senior year) made a courtesy call on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at the Office of the Prime Minister in Malaysia. The students are currently studying at the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of the country. Dr. Masahiko Horie, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Malaysia and currently Professor at the Organisation for the Strategic Coordination of Research and Intellectual Property was instrumental in realizing the visit. Prime Minister Najib received an Honorary Doctorate from Meiji University in 2010.
