On June 29, the Japan Lacrosse Association held the 25th International Lacrosse Friendship Games. The men's and women's lacrosse teams under the Meiji University took part in exhibition matches held in association with the Games (on June 28, June 30, and July 1).
These exhibition matches are international friendship matches in which only the top four teams in the Kanto student league tournament held last academic year were allowed to participate. The right to participate was won by the Meiji University men's team thanks to its second-place finish and by the women's team because it was among the final four.
