On November 28, Meiji University held an opening ceremony and an unveiling ceremony for the Meiji University Manga Library Reading Room in the School of Foreign Languages of the Peking University, which is located in Beijing, China. Meiji University concluded an academic exchange agreement with the Peking University in 2009. The two schools signed an agreement for establishment of the Reading Room in 2010. The objective is to stimulate cultural and academic interchange through display of Japan’s manga and anime culture.
