The Meiji University Taidouren women’s lacrosse team victorious for second consecutive year at the Japan National Lacrosse Championships

On December 20, the Meiji University Taidouren women’s lacrosse team defeated FUSION, the first place-ranked club lacrosse championship team, by a score of 10-4 to emerge victorious in the final match of the 26th Japan National Lacrosse Championships held at Edogawa Athletic Stadium in Tokyo. The team became the No. 1 women’s lacrosse team in Japan for the second year in a row. The women’s lacrosse team also won the Eastern Collegiate Leagues and the Japan National Collegiate Championships for the second consecutive year, making them triple crown winners with their victory at the Japan National Lacrosse Championships. This was the first time in history that any women’s lacrosse team has accomplished the feat of taking the triple crown for 2 years in a row.
