On November 19, four professors and four doctoral students from Indonesia’s State University of Malang visited the Nakano Campus and participated in the Global Japanese Studies Exercise Class D (taught by Assistant Professor Makiko Kishi) of the School of Global Japanese Studies. The projects concerned global environmental problems, the Syrian refugee crisis, problems in education in the Philippines, and the issue of depopulation in rural Japan. This particular class was devoted to interim reports on the projects and a workshop on the topic “Looking ahead to 2030.”
