On March 7, a delegation led by Mrs. Virginija Baltraitienė, Minister of Agriculture in the Republic of Lithuania, including Dr. Vigilijus Jukna, Professor at Aleksandras Stulginskis University (ASU), visited the Surugadai Campus and exchanged views with President Kenichi Fukumiya and Vice President Etsuko Katsu (in charge of international collaboration). In their conversations, the two sides discussed matters such as cooperation between Meiji University and Lithuania in the field of agriculture, as well as on academic and student exchanges between Meiji University and ASU (which was founded in 1924 and consists of five schools). They also voiced their hopes to further strengthen their relationship going forward. Exchanges between Meiji University and Lithuania are represented by its conclusion of partnership agreements with Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) in October 2012 and Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) in February of this year.
