On October 23, the Meiji University Baseball Club defeated the Rikkyo University team by a score of 6 to 2, winning the Tokyo Big 6 University Baseball League’s Fall Championship. Following the win in the Spring Championship, this is the team’s second consecutive win in as many seasons and the 39th Championship win overall. Winning both the Spring and Fall Championships is a remarkable feat, achieved for the first time in three years, the last time being the 2013 season.
The team will compete in the 47th Meiji Jingu Baseball Tournament to be held from November 11 to 16. The team will compete against 11 other schools from around the country in a tournament format, aiming to win the competition for the first time in five years since 2011.
