The legislation to designate May 1, the day of the enthronement of His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince, and October 22, the day on which the ceremony of the enthronement of His Majesty the Emperor (Sokuirei-Seiden-no-gi) is to be conducted, as one-off national holidays has passed. In addition, it has been decided that Golden Week 2019 will become a 10-day holiday period from April 27 to May 6. Consequently, we have decided to make partial changes to the 2019 academic year calendar as follows:

(1) The change due to the designation of May 1 as a national holiday
Day: April 30 (Tue.)-May 2 (Thu.)
Change: Temporary closing (class suspension) day → Normal holiday
(2) The change due to the designation of October 22 as a national holiday
Day: October 22 (Tue.)
Change: Normal class day → Normal holiday
Day: December 24 (Tue.)
Change: Temporary closing (class suspension) day → Normal class day
*In accordance with this change, for classes held on Tuesdays, the F1 and F2 semester periods will be changed as follows: → F1: will end on November 19, F2: will start on November 26.
