Measures against Novel Coronavirus Infections (Second Report)

To students and faculty members

In addition to the previously announced "Notice about coronavirus" (January 30, 2020) , students and teachers who have returned from China (Including Hong Kong and Macau. The same shall apply hereinafter.) are requested to respond as follows.

1. Students and faculty members returning from Hubei or Zhejiang Province or having contact with residents in Hubei or Zhejiang Province
  *Refer to the separate sheet "Flow 1"

(1)If you have pyrexia (37.5 degrees or more) and respiratory symptoms such as a cough within 2 weeks from the date of return to Japan.
① Avoid contact with others, wear a mask, and consult the nearest "Counseling Center for Returnees and Contacts" (※) by yourself or with your guardians before visiting a medical institution. Then visit the medical institution recommended by the Center as soon as possible.
*"Counseling Centers for Returnees and Contacts" will be set up at each health center. In the meantime, contact your local healthcare center (Contact: See below).
② Regardless of whether or not you are infected, please contact the faculty office or department to which you belong by telephone (Contact: See below) about the results of the diagnosis made by the medical institution.

(2)If you have no fever (37.5 degrees or more) and no respiratory symptoms such as a cough within 2 weeks from the day of return to Japan.
① Please stay at home for 2 weeks after returning to Japan.
Students should keep in close contact with their parents.
② Before starting to stay at home, please call the faculty office or department (Contact: See below) to which you belong.
③ If symptoms occur, respond as described in above 1 (1).

2. Students and faculty members who have returned from mainland China excluding Hubei and Zhejiang Province and have not had contact with residents in Hubei or Zhejiang Province
  *Refer to the separate sheet "Flow 2"

(1)If you have pyrexia (37.5 degrees or more) and respiratory symptoms such as cough within 2 weeks from the date of return to Japan.
① Avoid contact with others, wear a mask, and visit the nearest medical institution immediately.
② Regardless of whether or not you are infected, please contact the faculty office or department to which you belong by telephone (Contact: See below) about the results of the diagnosis made by the medical institution.

(2)If you have no fever (37.5 degrees or more) and no respiratory symptoms such as cough within 2 weeks from the day of return to Japan.
① For two weeks after returning to Japan, take your temperature twice a day, morning and evening, and check your health condition. Students should keep in close contact with their parents.
② Please refrain from going out as much as possible for 2 weeks after returning to Japan.
③ If symptoms occur, respond as described in above 2 (1).
