Measures against Novel Coronavirus Infections (Third Report)
In accordance with the statement "Message to the people regarding the holding of events" issued by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the Government of Japan requests that the following measures be taken regarding the holding of events at our university. The holding of university events will also be determined according to the guidelines set forth in this statement. As a result, decisions may be made regarding the reduction, postponement, or cancellation of events that are currently scheduled. Students and faculty members are encouraged to frequently check information provided by the university.1 Necessity of holding an event
It appears that the risk of infection increases when a number of people are gathered together inside a building for a certain period of time in a situation where they cannot keep enough distance from each other.
From the viewpoint of preventing the spread of infection, please comprehensively review the situation of the venue, contents of the event, number of attendees, participants, etc., and reconsider whether it is really necessary to hold the meeting.
We ask that the organizers of each event take the decision of whether to hold the event or not.

2 Precautions when holding an event
The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare requested that efforts be made to reduce the chances of infection when holding events. Examples of such efforts include "Recommend handwashing to participants" "Installation of alcohol disinfectants" and "Request participants with cold-like symptoms not to attend".
When an event is held at our university, the organizer of the event is requested to pay close attention to these points.
3 Canceling an event
If you decide to cancel the event, please inform the participants and all those connected to the event of the decision promptly through the website, by email, etc.
