Planning a Survey to find out if people want COVID-19 Vaccinations
from Meiji University


We at Meiji University are now planning to take part in the Japanese government’s workplace vaccination initiative and provide vaccinations for those who wish to be vaccinated including students, faculty and staff members of Meiji University.
Prior to the workplace vaccination at Meiji University, we will shortly conduct a survey regarding people’s intentions to get a COVID-19 Vaccination in order to grasp the precise number of the required vaccinations. All students and faculty members are kindly requested to answer the questionnaire regardless of whether they wish to be vaccinated or not. Therefore, please take a close look at the (Important Notice) and related information below and complete the questionnaire posted on the “Oh-o! Meiji System” no later than June 30th.
Please be reminded that these vaccinations are only intended for individuals who wish to receive them. Vaccination is Not mandatory in any way and there will be no negative impact on individuals should they choose not to receive a vaccination.


【Persons eligible to be vaccinated】
・All Meiji students including auditing students and non-degree students.
・All faculty and staff members of Meiji University Incorporated, including part-time lecturers, contracted staff and temporary staff.
※ Those who have already been vaccinated are excluded.
※ The vaccination at the university is free of charge.
Those who are under age 18 are NOT eligible in accordance with the instructions from the manufacturer: Takeda Pharmaceutical Company / Moderna, Inc.

【Vaccine Rollout Date】
・Starting from late July to late September
 ※The rollout date is contingent on the supply of vaccine from the Japanese government and subject to change.

【Important Notice】
1.The vaccine manufactured by Takeda / Moderna will be used at the university’s site.

2.The vaccinations are given twice, usually four weeks apart. Those who receive vaccinations at Meiji University are required to be vaccinated both times at the Meiji University site.

3.Students who get the vaccine from the university will be allowed to be absent from class for the vaccination and if they feel unwell as a result of the vaccination.

4.Vaccination coupons issued by a local government are not required for the university vaccination, but they must be submitted to Meiji University once you receive them.

5.All those who are eligible will be told how to make reservations and so forth on the university website and the “Oh-o! Meiji System”, when more specific information becomes available.

Meiji University is coordinating with the related government authorities plans to file necessary vaccination applications on the basis of the results of the questionnaire.
