Academic Year 2021 Classes (Seventh Report) - Notice Concerning the Response to the Declaration of a State of Emergency
Jul. 09, 2021
To all students, faculty and staff of Meiji University
It is clear that the number of infections has been increasing in Tokyo, including within families and among those taking part in extra-curricular activities. Therefore, Meiji University has decided to upgrade its “Activity Restriction Guidelines” to LEVEL 2, instead of the current Level 1. We have done this to ensure the safety of our students, faculty and staff members, as well as to fulfill our social responsibilities.
This Guideline level is effective from July 12 until further notice.
However, in order to avoid confusion caused by the sudden change in the guideline level, some classes and exams will be allowed to go ahead under Level 1 of the Activity Restriction Guidelines. In such cases face-to-face classes and final exams will be held as originally planned. We will also give consideration to those students who wish to refrain from attending classes and exams on campus.
More details about classes and final exams will be notified on the “Oh-o! Meiji” system.
So, all students are kindly requested to check the information on the “ClassWeb” and follow the instructions from the faculty member in charge of each class.
Also, please note that unnecessary outings and travel during the state of emergency must be avoided and everyone should behave properly in order to avoid spreading or contracting the COVID-19 infection.
Details of the Level 2 restrictions will be announced later, as soon as more information becomes available.
We ask for your continued understanding and cooperation so that students, faculty members and staff of Meiji University can work together to overcome the COVID-19 infection.
