Kempo Club entered the 66th All Japan University Nippon Kempo Championship that was held at EDION Arena Osaka on November 14 with the men winning their second championship in a row for a total of 16 championship wins and the women made the quarter-finals, finishing 5th overall.
The men defeated Momoyama Gakuin University (aka St. Andrew’s University) in their first bout, Kyoto Sangyo University in their second, and Chuo University in the semi-final. In the final, they outlasted the formidable team of Kansai University to win the championship.
