At Sport Policy for Japan 2023 held at Meiji University on October 28 and 29, GOTO Mitsumasa Seminar A (MIZOE Rikuo, TAGAWA Chihiro, KONUMA Keito, TAJIMA Ikuto, MIYAMOTO Mau, SOKI Risa, and HORIBE Shota) won the Excellence Award (ranking second). Under the theme of "Regional revitalization by taking countermeasures against overtourism and promoting tourism through sports - “Initiative for Promoting Many Attractive Spots in Hakusan and Increasing Tourist Destinations," they proposed a policy for regional revitalization by taking countermeasures against overtourism and promoting tourism through sports, taking Kanazawa City and Hakusan City in Ishikawa Prefecture as concrete examples.
Sport Policy for Japan is an intercollegiate competition where students present and discuss their research results on sport policies and measures to promote the sports industry in Japan. Sport Policy for Japan 2023 was held at Meiji University on October 28 and 29, and a record number of 314 students of 61 teams from 24 universities participated in the event.
