[Shooting Club] NOBATA Misaki wins two events at the All Japan Rifle Shooting Championships

The Shooting Club participated in the 2023 All Japan Rifle Shooting Championships (10m AR/AP) Olympic/ Paralympic Mixed Men’s and Women’s Shooting Championships at the Tochigi Prefecture Rifle Shooting Range from May 19 to 21, where NOBATA Misaki (2nd year in School of Commerce) won two events: the women’s air rifle 60-shot standing position and the men’s and women’s mixed air rifle 60-shot standing position final.

In the women’s air rifle event, in addition to NOBATA, MIURA Rio (3rd year in School of Commerce) and IZUMIDATE Reika (4th year in School of Global Japanese Studies) placed seventh and tenth, respectively. In addition, HIRATA Shiori (graduated from the School of Political Science and Economics in 2023 and an alumna of the club) took third place, and four affiliates of Meiji University finished in the top 10. In the men’s and women’s mixed final, NOBATA won first place and HIRATA second.

In addition, at the 2023 All Japan Selected Rifle Shooting Championship (50 m rifle mixed team) held at the same time, OSHIO Yuto (4th year in School of Political Science and Economics) placed fourth in the men’s and women’s mixed 50m rifle three positions 60-shot event final.
